Catalogue note
The arched dial painted with a lunar calendar in the arch, with subsidiary seconds and a date aperture, the spandrels gilt. The eight-day movement striking on a bell. The dial has been repainted at some point in the nineteenth century, which is stated here rather than left to be discovered.

The movement is complete and runs when set up, but has not been serviced and is sold as a clock requiring attention. The dial repainting is old and now itself worn, with losses to the numerals at IV and VIII. The case with old repairs to the plinth and a replaced hood moulding. Weights and pendulum present; the winding key is a replacement.
