Catalogue note
Painted with a striding dragon amid cloud scrolls above a lappet band, the neck with a key-fret border. The six-character mark to the base is apocryphal and the vase is catalogued accordingly; the potting and the tone of the blue are consistent with a later date than the mark claims.

A firing flaw to the shoulder, original to the manufacture. Minor glaze pitting overall. A star crack to the base, approximately 2 in. across, stable and not through the body. No restoration detected under ultraviolet examination.
Ultraviolet. No restoration fluoresces. The star crack is a body fault and has not been filled.
