Catalogue note
The interior moulded with a lotus spray beneath a thick, evenly pooled glaze of good sea-green tone, the unglazed footring burnt orange in the firing. A satisfying object of a kind that photographs poorly and rewards handling.

An old rim chip of 1/4 in., unrestored. Crazing throughout the glaze, original to the firing. The footring with the expected kiln grit. No restoration.
Ultraviolet. Nothing fluoresces. The rim chip has not been filled.
